Memorial Day weekend was filled with tons of rain brought on by tropical storm Beryl. Most of Florida suffered from the rain but we weren't affected directly by where I live. The storm was a few hours north of us but we still got hit by tons of stray bands on Sunday and Memorial Day. We were thankful enough that no tornadoes or flooding occurred in our area.
This is what I wore to church on Sunday. I wanted to dress for the holiday but I didn't want my outfit to scream red, white and blue. I recently picked up this sheer navy top from TJMax and loved how it's sleeveless. I can wear it in the dead heat of summer with shorts or put a blazer over it for a more put together look. The top is so versatile, I can tell it will be an easy go to piece for the coming summer months.

Other than church, my mom and I swam before more rain came, ran some errands and grocery shopped for the week. On Monday my family had plans to go to the beach if the weather looked promising. We ended up going but our beach time was shortened by incoming storm clouds. By the time we got home, the sun was out and shining, so we swam until dinner time and then had a BBQ. I made these delicious watermelon-strawberry shushes, which were so good and extremely healthy. They were a hit with my family and even my little nieces wanted more.
